Bisootoon- Kermanshah
Back
Bisotoon’s other name is
“Mountain of the Gods”. It was here that
Darius the Great (521-486 B. C.) (Darius
is Great king of Achaemenians) had the
most famous of his many royal
proclamations inscribed in three
languages, overlooking the ancient
highway. Alexander the Great passed this
way in 324 B.C., staying for several
weeks in the Nicaean Fields, a nearby
area famous for its horses even in the
Median period.
